Into Air

Clouds limn the sky
Waves the sea
Lacy pebbles
The garden way
Empty husks of
Fig palm
Green mamba goddesses
In summer tango
Splay leaves deep green
Seamed veins of
Old woman’s hands
Tying pink flowers
Into wind
Entangled hair
Lizards bark
Giant brown toads dance
Around blue pools
In a malachite haze
We arrive
Golden as sunsets
And like ribbons of water melt
Into air
